Sam:           When I was a university student, I was also a humanities student without any skills .

Sam:           Me too! I just can’t believe what I am today (laugh).
Ken:            What do you mean?

Sam:          I didn’t work myself to lead this kind of life. I just kind of swam along with the current.
Ken:           You mean it happened suddenly?
Sam:           Well, I did try a little sometimes but chance played a greater role. If you do the things which happened to do by chance, similarly, then you can be like me !
Ken:           Really!? Please teach me how I can be like you.
Sam:          OK. I will tell you what happened to me over the next couple of days. I will also teach you how to graduate from being a humanities student without any skills.
Ken:        Thank you very much.
Sam:          Okay. How about meeting here in two weeks’ time. On Wednesday, same time.
Ken:            I have classes on Wednesday.
Sam:          You should remember the words “The day is not a good day for me”. It’s very useful in setting up appointments.
Ken:            Understood. “Wednesday is not a good day for me” would do, wouldn’t it?
Sam:          OK. Then what about Thursday?
Ken:           Thursday is good.
Sam:         OK! Then, see you on Thursday in two weeks’ time. It was a nice meeting day for me.

Ken      「偶然ってこと？」
Sam　　　「途中からは努力もちょっとしたけど、偶然が大きいかな。でも、僕が偶然やるハメになったことをキミが同じようにやれば、キミも僕と同じようになれるよ！しかも、僕よりも速く！」
Ken　　　「本当ですか？　どうすればSamさんのようになれるのか教えてください！」
Sam       「もちろん！　じゃ、僕がこれから何回かにわたって、僕の身に起きたことをキミに話をするよ。そして、キミがどうすれば『ノースキルの文系学生』から卒業できるか、ということも」
Ken       「ありがとうございます！」
Sam　　　　「じゃ、2週間後の水曜日の同じ時間にここの場所で会うのはどう？」
Ken　　　　「水曜日は学校の授業があるんです」
Sam       「そういうときには、『This is not a good day for me』という言葉を覚えておくと、アポイントをとるときに便利だよ」　
Ken　     「わかりました。『Wednesday　is not a good day for me』でもいいですか？」
Sam　　　　「いいね！　じゃ、木曜日は？」
Ken　　　　「はい、大丈夫です」
Sam　　　　「じゃ、2週間後の木曜日にまた会おう！　キミと会えてよかったよ！」
